Iconic Maiolica

Maiolica is a rare, recently rediscovered indigenous black grape variety from Abruzzo. Documented since the late 19th century,

it was primarily grown in the Ortona area and the Abruzzo hinterland before being nearly abandoned in favor of more productive

varieties. Today, it represents a precious expression of regional biodiversity, recovered through research

and championed by a few producers.

For Giannicola Di Carlo, it is a true voice of the land, bridging tradition and modernity.
